FLO and Nissan Canada Jointly Introduce Fresh Measures to Encourage Electric Vehicle Adoption
FLO and Nissan Canada have unveiled two innovative approaches to enhance the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) by making EV charging more convenient. These initiatives include the availability of FLO HomeTM charging units for purchase at Nissan dealer locations and a $150 charging credit for customers who buy a new Nissan Leaf or ARIYA, along with the Nissan EV Care protection package.
As a leading provider of smart charging solutions and a prominent North American EV charging company, FLO aims to provide accessible, secure, and reliable EV chargers for drivers both at home and on the go. The collaboration with Nissan Canada marks the beginning of their joint commitment to accelerate EV adoption in North America.
Under these programs, customers who purchase or lease a new Nissan EV, combined with the Nissan EV Care protection package, will receive $150 worth of charging credits. Moreover, Canadian drivers now have the opportunity to purchase FLO Home chargers directly from Nissan dealerships across the country.
Louis Tremblay, the President and CEO of FLO, expressed enthusiasm about the increasing number of EVs on North American roads and highlighted FLO's commitment to providing accessible and dependable charging solutions. The FLO network boasts a 98% network uptime, and with these new initiatives in partnership with Nissan, they aim to further enhance EV adoption in the region.
FLO offers EV drivers a seamless network of user-friendly EV charging stations and a comprehensive range of reliable charging solutions. Through the FLO EV Charging Network, Nissan drivers will have access to FLO Level 2 and DC fast chargers located throughout Canada and the United States, allowing them to conveniently charge their EVs.
Ben Lee, the President of Nissan Canada Extended Services Inc. (NCESI), expressed excitement about collaborating with FLO to bring charging closer to their customers. He mentioned the provision of $150 in charging credits to new Nissan EV drivers who opt for the Nissan EV Care protection package. Furthermore, Nissan customers will have the option to purchase the FLO Home charger directly from Nissan Canada dealerships.
Nissan Canada has selected the FLO Home charger as their preferred home charging unit available at their dealerships. The FLO Home charger is designed to endure extreme weather conditions, featuring a 100% aluminum, waterproof, impact-resistant, and corrosion-resistant enclosure. It is built to last and is ENERGY STAR certified. The charger supports most maximum EV power acceptance rates, enabling most vehicles to be charged within 6-8 hours, making overnight charging convenient. The X5 model offers advanced smart charging capabilities, allowing customers to schedule specific charging times, limit power consumption during peak periods, monitor usage, and configure settings through their iOS or Android devices.
